 The Youth Achievement Rewards was launched by the Mayor of Southampton Clr. Dennis Harriman on Friday 14 January 2005. It was Southampton Magna's way of celebrating the Centenary of Rotary. For photographs Click HERE

It was open to all the many and varied youth clubs and organisations within the city. They were invited to illustrate to the club why, through their own efforts and achievements during 2005, they should receive some reward from the fund.

The project driven by Rtn Bill Rule made the following awards

First Prize             £1000        Redbridge Community Motorbike

                                            Youth Project

Second Prize          £500      Y Company Army Cadet Force

Joint Third Prize     £250 each to

                                                Horizon Team Gym Club and

                                                League of Venturers Search & Rescue

President Chris Tickner outlined the scheme and announced the prize winners at ceremony at the Civic Centre. The Mayor of Southampton presented the prizes and thanked the volunteers who gave their time to help and support youth in community projects.
