At six-under-par playing the par 5 eighteenth hole, Cowle holed a bunker shot for an eagle to set the new record for a Stoneham course that has been lengthened in recent years.

Nick Redfern came second with a six-under-par round of 66 with Brokenhurst Manor’s Bruce Parker in third place on 67.

Hampshire PGA Captain, Kevin Saunders led his "American Golf Holiday" team of Bob Houghton, John and Alison Hooper to victory in the Pro-Am with a sixteen-under-par score.  They pushed Mark Williamson’s "Paultons Golf Centre" team into second place after a countback.
