Magnificent Magna
A key principal underpinning the success of a Rotary club is the encouragement of 'fellowship' amongst its members and their families. Southampton Magna Rotary Club is no exception, and during the year a number of social events stand out .
Handover
The Rotary year, which starts in July, opens with a Barbeque / Garden Party at which the chain of office is handed on to the new President.
Partners' Evenings
When there is a 5th Thursday in the month, club members bring their partners to a social evening. There are other occasional events and visits during the year when partners are included.
President's Evening
In the spring, the Club marks its President's year in office at a special social event.
Christmas Party
There's always a special celebration of this festive season with professional (and home grown) entertainment!
Dining Club
Members, who wish to take part, are grouped in 3s to visit each other for lunch/dinner. This is a good way to get to know other members and their partners.
In addition there are regular club events and many other opportunities for fellowship.
